WhatsApp Business API, explained simply

Chatyx uses Meta’s official WhatsApp Business platform to connect messages to your chatbot. You need the required access and must complete Meta’s validations; timing depends on your account.

What the chatbot does on WhatsApp, and what it does not

What it does

  • It answers your customers' messages from the WhatsApp chatbot's sources, at any hour.
  • In reply to a message, it can send images and present several properties or products as a carousel.
  • It can collect the contact details of a customer who wants to be contacted, with their consent.
  • Conversations land in the Chatyx dashboard, with a summary of each exchange.

What it does not do

  • No outbound campaigns: it replies, it does not send bulk messages to a contact list.
  • No booking in a calendar: a request is collected, then confirmed by your team.
  • No automatic copy of another chatbot: connecting creates a dedicated chatbot, with its own sources to add.

Simple, transparent pricing

Your Chatyx plan includes an AI token quota. Any Meta WhatsApp Business platform fees are additional to your Chatyx plan.

WhatsApp frequently asked questions

What should I prepare to connect WhatsApp?
Prepare access to the relevant Meta business account and an eligible phone number. The connection flow specifies the required checks and options for your current configuration.
Can a WhatsApp chatbot be free?
On the Chatyx side, yes for testing: the Free plan allows one chatbot, and connecting WhatsApp creates a dedicated chatbot that takes that slot. Its 250,000-token allowance covers about fifteen AI replies. On the Meta side, delivered messages are billed under Meta's own rates, whatever your Chatyx plan.
How much do WhatsApp messages cost?
Meta prices delivered messages according to their category and the recipient’s market. Check its current rate card. AI token usage in Chatyx is counted against your plan’s quota.
Can the chatbot send images or product cards on WhatsApp?
Yes. In reply to a customer message, the chatbot can send images and present several properties or products as a carousel, using Meta-approved templates that Chatyx creates for you. Outbound campaigns (bulk sends to a contact list) are not part of the product.
Can the WhatsApp chatbot collect a prospect's contact details?
Yes. When contact collection is enabled, it offers customers who want to be contacted to leave their details, with their consent. The request is emailed to you and stays available in the dashboard.
Is my data protected?
Conversations involve Chatyx, Meta and the providers needed to deliver the service. Read the privacy policy for details about processing and how to exercise your rights.
