What is Chatyx?
Chatyx is a French SaaS platform that lets you create a custom AI chatbot without any technical skills. You import your content (website, PDF, documents), configure the tone and appearance, and your chatbot is ready to answer your customers on your website, WhatsApp or Telegram.
Who is Chatyx for?
Chatyx is designed for small and medium businesses, freelancers, e-commerce owners and any organization that wants to automate customer support or offer an AI assistant to visitors, without needing a developer. What does Chatyx actually do?
Chatyx lets you create a chatbot that automatically answers your customers' questions based on your own content. It can respond on your website, on WhatsApp or on Telegram, 24/7. The WhatsApp chatbot page explains the WhatsApp Business connection.
How is Chatyx different from a generic chatbot?
Unlike a generic chatbot, Chatyx is trained on your own data. It answers based on your actual content (web pages, files, FAQ). You can also customize its tone, appearance and response rules to match your brand.
How it works
How does Chatyx work?
You import your content into Chatyx (URLs, PDF, DOCX, CSV...). The platform analyzes and indexes it using a technology called RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation). When a visitor asks a question, the chatbot searches your data for the answer and formulates it naturally using AI.
Do I need coding skills to use Chatyx?
No, no technical skills are required. Chatyx is a 100% no-code solution. Everything is done through a simple visual interface: data import, customization, deployment.
How long does it take to create a chatbot?
Just a few minutes. You create your chatbot, import your sources, adjust the tone and appearance, then deploy it. Getting started is quick and requires no complex technical setup.
How does the chatbot generate its answers?
The chatbot uses an advanced language model (LLM) combined with your indexed data. When a user asks a question, Chatyx retrieves the relevant passages from your content, then generates a clear and contextualized answer.
Data sources
What types of sources can I import?
You can import public URLs, PDF, DOCX, TXT, XLSX or CSV files, and pages listed in an XML sitemap. Import them from the dashboard. A web page sitemap is not a real estate or e-commerce data feed.
Can I use my website pages as a source?
Yes. You can add your website URLs so the chatbot trains directly from your online pages. It's one of the simplest ways to get started.
Can I import PDF or DOCX documents?
Yes. Chatyx supports PDF, DOCX, TXT, XLSX and CSV file imports. The content is automatically analyzed and indexed so the chatbot can respond from it.
How is imported content used by the chatbot?
Imported content is split into segments, then vectorized and stored. When a user asks a question, Chatyx retrieves the most relevant passages and uses them to formulate a precise answer.
Can my property listings be synchronized automatically?
Yes. If your agency has a Bien'ici or SeLoger storefront, simply add its address as a source: Chatyx pulls in the published listings and offers automatic resynchronization (daily, weekly or monthly). Portfolio updates are picked up without any re-entry. What happens if I edit or delete a source?
You stay in control from the dashboard: a source can be re-indexed after an update, or deleted — its content is then removed from the chatbot's knowledge base.
Customization
Can I customize the appearance of my chatbot?
Yes. You can change the colors, logo, button shape, welcome message and suggested questions. Everything is configurable from the Appearance tab in the dashboard.
Can I set the tone or response rules?
Yes. Through the System Message, you define the language, tone (professional, casual, formal...) and instructions the chatbot must follow. You keep control over how it communicates.
Can I match the chatbot to my brand identity?
Absolutely. Between visual customization and tone rules, your chatbot can faithfully reflect your brand image. It won't look like a generic chatbot. The "powered by Chatyx" mention can be removed on any paid plan.
Can I choose what my chatbot is able to do?
Yes. Each chatbot has a mode: standard (answers based on your documents), online store (Shopify catalogue and order tracking) or catalogue / real estate (guided property listing search and needs qualification). Two options can be added on top of the chosen mode: lead capture and rich display (cards, tables, images).
Does the widget adapt to my visitors' theme and language?
Yes. The widget is available in French and English, with a light or dark theme — matched to the visitor's preferences, with a toggle in the header. You pick the default language and theme when you embed it.
Deployment
Where can I deploy my chatbot?
You can deploy your chatbot on your website (via an embedded widget), on WhatsApp and on Telegram. You can also connect a Shopify store: the chatbot then answers questions about your catalogue and order status, whichever channel the customer uses. The integrations page summarises the prerequisites and limits of each channel.
Can I integrate Chatyx on my website?
Yes. Simply copy a short script provided by Chatyx and paste it into your site's code, just before the closing body tag. No external dependencies are needed. On WordPress, the guide to installing a chatbot on WordPress shows where to paste it.
Is Chatyx available on WhatsApp?
Yes. You can connect your chatbot to WhatsApp by following the Meta Business connection wizard available in the dashboard. The guide to connecting WhatsApp Business to Chatyx covers each step.
Is Chatyx available on Telegram?
Yes. Simply enter your Telegram bot's BotFather token in the dashboard. The connection takes just a few seconds.
Can I restrict the widget to my own domains?
Yes. Each chatbot has an allowed-domains list: once you fill it in, the widget only loads on the sites you listed. Left empty, it applies no restriction.
Security and GDPR
Is my data secure?
Chatyx uses HTTPS connections, account authentication and resource access checks. You can restrict widget domains. The Security and data page explains external services and available controls.
What controls are available for my data?
You have communication preferences, an export of supported account data and an account deletion option. To exercise your rights or discuss regulatory requirements before deployment, email privacy@chatyx.fr.
Where is data hosted?
The primary Chatyx database is in Supabase’s Paris region. Processing also involves AI, hosting and messaging providers: this location does not guarantee that all data remains in France or Europe.
Can I protect my account with two-factor authentication?
Yes. Two-factor authentication can be enabled from your profile using an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy…). A code is then required at every sign-in.
Can I export or delete my data?
Privacy settings offer a JSON export of your profile, preferences and other supported account data. This export does not contain every conversation or file. Account deletion is available; for a broader request, contact privacy@chatyx.fr.
Account and usage
Can I modify my chatbot after creating it?
Yes. You can change data sources, appearance, tone, response rules and deployment channels at any time from the dashboard.
Can I track my chatbot's activity?
Yes. The dashboard offers a conversation inbox (list, full exchanges, handling status, internal notes and lead contact details), automatic summaries, and token consumption tracking (24h, 7d, 30d, 6 months, 1 year). You can also receive a weekly activity summary by email.
Can I receive notifications when a visitor interacts?
Yes. When a chatbot user wants to be contacted by a human, Chatyx displays a contact form in the conversation and emails you the lead. The conversation stays natural for the visitor.
Am I warned before I reach my quota?
Yes. Chatyx alerts you in the dashboard and by email when your token consumption approaches your plan's limit, so your chatbot never stops unexpectedly. You can also receive a weekly summary of your chatbots' activity.
Can I manage my subscription myself?
Yes. Plan changes and billing are handled from the dashboard through the Stripe customer portal: payment method updates, invoices and cancellation, with no long-term commitment.

How can I get help?
You can contact support by email at support@chatyx.fr, or directly from the dashboard. The level of support depends on your plan: email support from the Starter plan, priority support on Growth and Scale, and 24/7 VIP support on the Enterprise plan.
Can I try Chatyx before committing?
Yes. The free plan lets you test Chatyx with no commitment and no time limit. You can create a chatbot, import a data source and deploy it on your website. Paid plans are detailed on the pricing page.
